Update: Point Lisas Desal plant restarted

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of Central and South Trinidad, who have been affected by the recent unplanned shutdown at the Point Lisas Desalination Plant, that the necessary repairs were completed and the facility was at full production of 40 million gallons daily, as at 10.40 p.m. on Sunday January 6, 2019[b].[/b]
Customers are further advised that it may take up to 24 to 36 hours for the pipe borne water supply to normalize to some areas in keeping with established schedules.
