UDeCOTT reports its first COVID-19 case

The Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT) recorded its first positive COVID-19 case on Saturday 22 August, 2020. The employee’s last day at work at UDeCOTT’s Head Office on Sackville Street was Tuesday 18 August, 2020.

Upon being notified of the employee’s test results, UDeCOTT took immediate steps to arrange deep sanitization of the company’s Sackville and Richmond Street Offices and advised all staff of the Finance Department to quarantine for the recommended 14 day period. The deep sanitization took place on Sunday 23rd August 2020.

Business continuity measures have also been put in place and matters related to the Finance Department’s functions will be addressed over the 14 day period.

All COVID-19 safety protocols have always been practiced at all UDeCOTT locations including office sites, project sites and venues, to ensure the health and safety of all employees. Employee safety remains a number one priority for the organization.

UDeCOTT will continue its robust sanitization schedule which began in May 2020 and the company intends to remain vigilant in enforcing its already implemented COVID-19 policies and procedures to continuously comply with the Government’s COVID-19 business practices.
