Trinidad and Tobago and United Kingdom move to strengthen national security
Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister and Minister in the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs the Honourable Stuart Young had a number of meetings today (Wednesday 18th April, 2018) with respect to national security matters of mutual interest to Trinidad and Tobago and the United Kingdom.
The meetings included discussions with the National Crime Agency (NCA), the Counter Terrorism Command of the Metropolitan Police (SO15) as well as other agencies.
This followed his speech at a Commonwealth Countering Violent Extremism Side Event yesterday where he presented on behalf of Trinidad and Tobago. Presentations were also made by Pakistan, Nigeria and Kenya at this event. Trinidad and Tobago was congratulated on its presentation.
Prime Minister Rowley and the entire delegation continue to ensure that the country is well represented in London.
