On Thursday 15th March, 2018, the Tobago Emergency Management Agency exercised along with our partners as part of the annual regional tsunami response exercise, named "Caribe Wave".
With the code name "Operation Basics", the scenario for this was centred around an earthquake which triggered a tsunami serving the purpose of evaluating local tsunami response plans, increasing tsunami preparedness, and improving coordination throughout the Region.
We wish to thank the various schools, businesses and divisions who participated in this exercise by conducting drills and updating their emergency plans. We look forward to exercising with you in the future.
The Tobago Emergency Management Agency, also wishes to recognize miscommunications during that period, and apologizes for any disruption or inconvenience caused during this exercise.
