Reopening of Land Registry: on time and as scheduled
The Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs wishes to thank the public and our valued stakeholders for their continued understanding and support as we have been moving our:
- Land Registry comprising over 8 Million records;
- Civil Registry comprising over 4 Million records; and
- Companies Registry comprising over 100 thousand records;
to the new Registrar General Department Port of Spain location at the AGLA Tower, Government Plaza, Corner Richmond and London Streets in Port-of-Spain (our RGD Port-of-Spain location).
Please be advised that in keeping with our undertaking to our stakeholders and the public, that effective Monday October 1, 2018 all Land Registry services inclusive of manual searches and electronic searches will be available at our new RGD Port-of-Spain location.
Whilst the recent earthquake complicated our move into the AGLA Tower, we are extremely pleased to inform that the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs has remained ahead of our schedule with upgrading all public interfaces under its purview.
We express our deep gratitude to the hardworking members of staff of the AGLA and in particular the members of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force who have worked tirelessly together with our team and without rest to accomplish this massive undertaking.
AGLA...Bringing the pieces together.
