Prime Minister chairs first National Security Council meeting for 2020
Prime Minister Dr the Honourable Keith Rowley chaired the first National Security Council meeting of 2020 at Whitehall yesterday (Wednesday 08 January, 2020).
The Attorney General, the Hon. Faris Al Rawi, Minister of National Security and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, the Hon. Stuart Young, Minister of Finance, the Hon Colm Imbert, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, the Hon. Dennis Moses, Minister in the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs, the Hon Fitzgerald Hinds and Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister, the Hon. Ayanna Webster-Roy were in attendance.
Heads of the protective services including, Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith, Chief of Defence Staff, Air Commodore Darryl Daniel and Acting Commissioner of Prisons, Dane Clarke reviewed 2019 and provided a synopsis of their plans for 2020 at the meeting.
