Photo Op: FashionTT & NEDCOs 1st Entrepreneurial Development Programme Graduates

20th October 2019: Certificate Distribution Function: On Saturday October 19, 2019 graduates of FashionTT and NEDCO's inaugural Entrepreneurial Development Programme were presented with certificates following the completion of extensive training. Delivering remarks at the event the Minister of Trade and Industry, Senator the Honourable Paula Gopee-Scoon stated that "The indigenous fashion industry is well positioned to build on the nascent domestic talent and be an active player in international trade...the Government is determined to increase market share for all sectors, including fashion, in traditional and non-traditional markets." The sixty four graduates who completed the 7 month course were commended for their accomplishment by the Chief Entrepreneurial Development Officer at NEDCO Ms Karen Caraballo, “You have a significant role to play in the diversification and growth of our national economy,” she told the graduates. The training programme was executed from January to July with designers participating in modules on Developing a Business Plan; Record Keeping and Cash Management; Costing and Pricing; Knowing Your Taxes; Excellence in Customer Service; Marketing for SMEs  and Social and Digital Media.
