Over 40 benefit from free wine making course
Over forty persons recently participated in an Introductory Course in Winemaking which took place at the Farmers Training Centre, Caroni North Bank Road, Centeno.
The course, which is one of several free training courses offered by the Extension Training and Information Services (ETIS) Division of the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries (MALF); was conducted during a half-day session, on Tuesday 15th October, 2019.
It was facilitated by Acting Entomologist, Ms. Roshni Ramsingh and Agricultural Officers - Ms. Merle Seedial and Ms. Gayatri Singh-Ramlogan - all of the ETIS Division.
The participants were introduced to topics such as Input Standards, Formulation, Post Fermentation Treatment, and covered six modules which included Must Formation and Bottling and Storage.
They were also privy to a practical demonstration of some of the topics and modules covered.
The participants expressed their delight and appreciation for the intensive content and useful knowledge, and were indeed very grateful that the course was absolutely free.
They also received Certificates of Participation upon completion.
