Opening of all air and sea ports including Entry and Quarantine
Port of Spain: The Minister of National Security hereby ADVISES, pursuant to Regulation 7 of the Public Health [2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)] (No. 17) Regulations, 2021 published by Legal Notice No. 186 of 2021 and Regulation 7 of the Public Health [2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)] (No. 18) Regulations, 2021 published by Legal Notice No. 195 of 2021, that with effect from Saturday July 17, 2021 and, continuing until further notice, PERMISSION was and has been granted for the opening of all air and sea ports and/or any place where an aircraft and/or ship and/or vessel can land for the arrival and/or departure of aircraft and/or ships and/or other vessels carrying passengers and/or cargo and/or otherwise arriving and/or departing.
TAKE NOTICE that the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, including but not limited to the provisions of Immigration Act Ch 18:01 regarding the entry of persons into and out of Trinidad and Tobago, shall apply and that the entry of persons into Trinidad and Tobago shall also be governed by and be in accordance with inter alia the Ministry of Health Quarantine Protocols for Passengers entering into Trinidad and Tobago dated July 15, 2021.
All persons are REMINDED that the provisions of the Emergency Powers (No. 2) Regulations, 2021 published by Legal Notices No. 176 of 2021 and the Public Health [2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)] (No. 18) Regulations, 2021 published by Legal Notices No. 195 of 2021, continue to be in force in terms that may otherwise be permitted from time to time and that persons should monitor Government publications and sources to be properly informed as to updates.
The Ministry of National Security will continue to monitor developments and will also continue, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, to safeguard the health and safety of the population.
