National Care Fair 2021
Port-of-Spain, October 25th, 2021: The Ministry of Health invites the public to the National Care Fair 2021 which will take place on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th October, 2021 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Public sector and civil society partners will come together to provide a range of basic health services, including free screening (blood sugar, blood pressure, Cancer, Body Mass Index (BMI)), free health consultations and free vaccination at the following locations:
- Paddock (Queen’s Park Savannah)
- COSTAATT (El Dorado)
- Sangre Grande Civic Centre
- UTT Chaguanas Campus
- Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA)
- Lowlands Mall, Tobago
This nationwide health fair is a TT Moves initiative, which seeks to advance the Government of Trinidad and Tobago’s Non Communicable Disease (NCD) management programme through the adoption of healthier lifestyles. The increased risk faced by persons with NCDs who contract COVID-19 has further highlighted the need for health interventions of this nature.
Members of the public are encouraged to take this opportunity to get free insight into their own health and are assured that all COVID-19 protocols will be strictly adhered to.
The National Care Fair 2021 is presented by the Office of the Prime Minister- Communications, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Youth and National Development, and the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development, Tobago House of Assembly, along with the Regional Health Authorities, the Trinidad and Tobago Medical Association, the Trinidad and Tobago NCD Alliance and the Inter-American Development Bank.
