Ministry supports En ToTo’s stationery kit distribution
“The SEA examination is not to be dreaded but rather, celebrated because it is a signal to the rest of the world, that you have persevered and you are now ready to go to the next stage of your life, on your way to destiny!” Encouraging words expressed by the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services, Jacinta Bailey-Sobers to Secondary Entrance Assessment students.
PS Bailey-Sobers was speaking at En ToTo’s symbolic ceremonial handing over of 5000 stationery kit packages on Tuesday 26th March 2019 at Lions Cultural Centre, Woodbrook, Port of Spain.
“Against all odds, and out of the hundreds of thousands of youths across the world, you are fortunate to have a pencil, a ruler and a solid education that gives you a push into a brighter future. Forget about all the pressure, the ole talk and high expectations from the adults. When you step into that room next week, walk in with an air of confidence and of course the knowledge that God is with you and will help you every step of the way.” PS Bailey-Sobers continued.
Joined by their parents and teachers, several primary school students within the national SEA population comprising pupils from districts throughout Trinidad received stationery kits from the NGO En ToTo to aid them as they prepare to write exams on Thursday 4th April, 2019.
The Ministry of Social Development and Family Services was proud to support our nation’s children as they take the next big step in their education and overall development.
