Ministry Supports En ToTo’s Stationery Kit Distribution

“Do your best and you would excel” was the common message from various speakers to Secondary Entrance Examinations students during En ToTo’s Stationery Kit Distribution. The event, held on Thursday, 19 April 2018 at Lion’s Civic Centre in Woodbrook was supported by the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services, a partner of this and many other worthwhile ventures undertaken by En ToTo.

Several primary school students within the national SEA population comprising pupils from districts throughout Trinidad and Tobago joined by their teachers and parents, received stationery kits consisting of pens, rulers, pencil cases, erasers and other stationery during the function. In attendance on behalf of the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services were NGO Unit Coordinator, Ann- Marie Quammie-Alleyne and Director, Research and Policy, Mr Michael Reid, Lydia Jacobs, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of National Security, National Parenting Teachers Association President Ms Raffiena Ali-Boodoosingh, TTUTA Representative Ms Lisa Ibrahim-Joseph and guest speaker Retired Principal Llewellyn McIntosh.

En ToTo is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), dedicated to changing the social landscape through youth-oriented initiatives in Trinidad & Tobago. En ToTo’s commitment to developing the nation’s youth is in tandem with the mandate of the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services to help, empower and transform lives. As such, the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services was very pleased to be part of this initiative geared towards encouraging the nation’s youth to establish and maintain academic goals that are aligned to performance excellence.
