Ministry shares social services info at Five Rivers fair

Residents of the Five Rivers District and environs gained the opportunity to access information on a gamut of services from state and government agencies on Wednesday 13th March 2019 at Annual Community Outreach Information Fair hosted by Ms Tova Lin San Sandy, Councillor for the Five Rivers District. The event, in its sixth year of operation is one of several initiatives undertaken by the District intended to bring the services and programmes closer to residents.

The Ministry of Social Development and Family Services was proud to participate in this event and bring to the residents pertinent information on the Ministry’s wide range of programmes and services.


Present to answer the queries and concerns of residents was Social Welfare Officer of the Tunapuna Local Board, Ms Bonas. The Ministry’s Communication Team was also present to distribute and provide information on the wide range of grants and services and to answer questions about the various divisions of the Ministry as it relates to support and social services delivery.

 Other government agencies which attended and provided services at the Information Fair included, the Water and Sewage Authority, iGovTT, MIC Institute of Technology, Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation, The National Maintenance Training and Security Company Limited among others. Residents also benefited from free Legal and Career advice.
