Ministry of National Security receives donation of face masks from Chinese Business Community

Port of Spain: Today, Friday July 16, 2021, Minister of National Security the Honourable Fitzgerald Hinds M.P. received a donation of 68,000 face masks on behalf of the Ministry of National Security, for distribution to its various Divisions.

The items were donated by members of the Chinese business community in Trinidad and Tobago and presented at a brief handover ceremony at the Ministry of National Security’s Head Office on Abercromby Street, Port of Spain.

Minister Hinds expressed his appreciation for the generous donation, which he said would greatly assist to keep members of the Defence and Protective Services safe, while they continue working in the forefront to serve the nation during the COVID-19 pandemic.  

Also present to receive the items were Permanent Secretary (Ag.) of the Ministry of National Security, Mr. Gary Joseph and Deputy Director, International Affairs Unit, Ministry of National Security, Mr. Richard Lynch.
