Ministry of Health Advises: CDAP Initiative Ongoing

Port-of-Spain, 10th September, 2020:  The public is assured that the Chronic Disease Assistance Programme (CDAP) continues and the services offered via this initiative are provided to the public on an ongoing basis.

The Ministry of Health notes the letter to the editor, which was published in the Newsday newspaper today, Thursday 10th September, entitled ‘Don’t stop the CDAP programme’. The Ministry advises that the Honourable Terrence Deyalsingh, Minister of Health did NOT announce that the CDAP initiative would be stopped.

Members of the public are assured that they can continue to receive their medication to address chronic non-communicable diseases (e.g. diabetes and hypertension) via this programme.
