Foreign delegation enjoys Pan Jazz experience at NAPA

Members of a visiting Ghana trade delegation paid a visit to the National Academy for the Performing Arts on April 26th 2018. The delegation was thoroughly entertained by a wide variety of cultural pieces many of which were by local composers as well as jazz classics. The Ghanaian delegation were quite intrigued by the versatility of the national instrument and had the opportunity to play the instrument at the end of the production. 

‘Fusion A Jazz experience’ was presented by the Ministry of Community Development Culture and the Arts on the forecourt of NAPA. The program showcased the work of the National Steel Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Mr. Akua Leith, the UTT Jazz Ensemble with Anthony Woodroffe, the musical stylings of Mr. Michael “Ming” Low Chew Tung and Ms. Vaughnette Bigford.

The Minister of Community Development Culture and the Arts the Honourable Nyan Gasby Dolly and the Minister of Public Utilities Senator the Honourable Robert Le Hunte was in attendance to share this milestone experience with the members of the public.
