All members of the public with appointments to renew expired national identification cards on Friday 9th April at the Diego Martin and Port of Spain/ Laventille Registration Area Offices will be contacted to have these appointments rescheduled.

The public is further advised that its Port of Spain/Laventille Registration Area Office, which serves areas such as Woodbrook, St. James, Port of Spain, Belmont, Gonzales, Morvant, Laventille, St. Ann’s, Cascade, Newtown and several other communities will remain closed to the public in the first instance for at least seven days, that is until Friday 16th April, 2021. Persons with confirmed appointments for the Port of Spain/Laventille Registration Area, during this period when this Registration Office will be closed, will be contacted to have these appointments rescheduled.

Since the very first presentation of the Covid-19 in Trinidad and Tobago, the EBC implemented all Ministry of Health protocols to mitigate against the spread of this virus and to safeguard the health and well-being of its staff and the public. The EBC apologizes for the inconvenience that the closure of its offices may cause and remains resolute to its commitment to all its stakeholders in the fight against the spread of this virus.
