Courtesy call to the PM from Canadian PM's Special Envoy
Prime Minister Dr the Hon Keith Rowley received a courtesy call from the Hon. Jean Charest, Special Envoy for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the Diplomatic Centre on Thursday 5th September, 2019.
The meeting focused on a wide range of issues of mutual interest between Trinidad and Tobago and Canada including trade and investment, multilateral and regional security issues.
Mr. Charest was joined by Ms. Karine Asselin, Executive Director, UN Security Council Campaign, Ms. Yolanda Rivas Celis, Senior Policy Advisor, UN Security Council Campaign, Ms. Pamela Greenwell, Chargé d’Affaires, High Commission of Canada and Mr. Andrew Maharaj, Counsellor (Commercial), High Commission of Canada.
Also present at the meeting were the Hon Stuart Young, Minister of National Security and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, the Hon Dennis Moses, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs and the Hon Paula Gopee-Scoon, Minister of Trade and Industry.
