CEPEP Company safeguards the health and well-being of all employees

July 24th, 2020 – The CEPEP Company Limited has taken a proactive approach to safeguarding the health and welfare of all our employees, contractors and their workers to minimize any risk associated with the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus.

As soon as the COVID-19 shutdown period was announced on March 29th, 2020, the CEPEP Company Limited took the decision to immediately close its operations on March 30th, 2020 to protect all its workers. The Company resumed full operation on June 8th, 2020.

During the three (3) month period, all CEPEP staff members, contractors and their employees were paid their full salaries as the welfare of every employee and their families were of critical concern to Company. Additionally, the Company implemented mandatory hygiene protocols for all workers. Sanitization stations were set up at the Company’s head office in Ste Madeleine and employees are mandated to use these stations. Before entry into the building a thermal scanner is used to test the temperature of workers. They are also required to wear face masks.

Sanitization of the building is conducted every morning and evening. The compound is also closed periodically for general sanitation and maintenance. Workers on the field are issued the proper personal protective gear and are also subject to routine assessment which is followed by sensitization programs conducted by our Health, Safety, Security and the Environment (HSSE) Department.

The Management of the CEPEP Company Limited reiterates its commitment to the adherence of proper occupational health and safety practices as well as the health and well-being of its staff and the public. As a people-centered organization, the CEPEP Company Limited continues to put its workers first by following all COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and World Health Organization (WHO).
