Bomb threats at schools

The Ministry of Education is working with law enforcement officers to ensure the safety and security of staff and students at the St. Joseph Convent – Port of Spain and the St Joseph Convent – St Joseph. This action follows a bomb threat which was received by the schools via email.

The Police bomb disposal experts have conducted the required security protocols and have cleared the compound safe for occupation. The Ministry is assuring students the scheduled examinations are not being disrupted. Searches are also being conducted on all persons entering the compound for any possible explosive device. School Safety Officers of the Ministry of Education are collaborating with the Police to ensure the safety of all on the compounds.
