Beware of stingrays at Manzanilla beach

The Lifeguard Services Division of the Ministry of National Security would like to advise sea bathers and visitors to Manzanilla Beach, that there has been an increase in the presence of sting rays along the shallow coastline of the beach.

While there has been no reports of anyone being stung at Manzanilla to date, it is a well-known fact that throughout the world stingrays have been known to inflict excruciating injuries on swimmers and beach goers annually.

The Lifeguards Services Division wishes to urge the public to be vigilant and cautious as they use the beach.
