Appointment of members of the Board of Governors of the Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies
Senator the Honourable Jennifer Baptiste-Primus, Minister of Labour and Small Enterprise Development, presented letters of appointment to Members of the Board of Governors of the Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies (CCLCS) on Tuesday 09 July, 2019 at the Ministry’s Head Office. The Board of Governors of the Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies (CCLCS) was established in accordance with the provisions of the Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies Act, Chapter 39:51.
The Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies is an accredited tertiary educational institution specializing in Labour and Co-operative Studies. Established in 1966, the College provides courses for Trade Unions, Co-operatives and Workers and collaborates with other educational institutions and bodies established for the advancement of workers’ education.
Minister Baptiste-Primus expressed her appreciation to all the Members who agreed to serve, and conveyed her confidence to the newly incoming Chairman, Dr. Hyacinth Guy. Minister emphasised that the CCLCS plays a pivotal role in strengthening both the Trade Union and Co-operative Movements. With this in mind, Members were instructed to work together to enhance the learning environment of the College.
