ALMOST 70,000 ARRIVALS EXPECTED FOR 2017/2018 CRUISE SHIP SEASON
October 12, 2017: The Ministry of Tourism will officially launch the 2017/2018 Cruise Ship Season on Sunday October 15, 2017 at the Port of Spain Cruise Ship Complex, as Trinidad and Tobago welcomes the Caribbean Princess cruise liner to our shores. The Honourable Shamfa Cudjoe, Minister of Tourism, will be delivering the Feature Address at the Launch and there will be a themed Cultural Welcome designed to profile destination Trinidad.
For the 2017/2018 Cruise Season, there will be twenty three (23) cruise calls with passenger arrivals of some 60,958 persons. The Ministry of Tourism has strengthened its marketing drive to encourage increased cruise calls to 'Destination Trinidad' and is putting in place measures to create an environment conducive to a more positive visitor experience and gaining a greater share of cruise visitor spend.
